EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Alumni Community & Alumni Board

The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Alumni Community is a voluntary, organised group of Irish entrepreneurs who share the common experience of having been chosen as finalists in the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ programme on the island of Ireland.

The EOY Alumni board is charged with representing the EOY Alumni Community and facilitating their mission to:

  1. Develop and Grow
  2. Support each other
  3. Promote and support entrepreneurship

EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Alumni App

The power of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ programme lies within the Alumni Community. To maximise this potential and help the Alumni connect more easily and effectively, the Alumni Board developed the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Alumni App / Website.

This secure, private and up-to-date directory, exclusively available to past finalists, can be used to search for and contact other Alumni that may be able to advise on specific business or personal topics, whether that is a challenge they are facing or a new business opportunity to want to explore.

Alumni often say to potential new finalists that one of the biggest value of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ programme is getting to know other entrepreneurs who have already travelled down the path that lies before them.

Soul of Haiti/Haven

The Soul of Haiti Foundation was an Irish registered charity which was established in 2007 by a group of our EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Alumni. Upon visiting Haiti for our 2007 CEO Retreat, some representatives from the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Alumni community came together with the aim to apply their entrepreneurial skills and resources to create a positive impact on the lives of the people of Haiti.

The Soul of Haiti’s mission has been to exercise its expertise to improve the economic and social circumstances of communities in Haiti in a practical, sustainable manner.

Soul of Haiti regularly supported another charity, Haven, and they collaborated on one another’s projects. It was therefore decided to transfer Soul of Haiti’s team and projects on the ground to Haven in January 2016.

By coming together with Haven, the strength of Soul of Haiti’s impact in Haiti will only grow, with significant reductions in administration costs and a pooling of important resources which will directly benefit those who need them most.

Some major events in the charity’s calendar every year include the Cycle4Haiti and the Corporate Quiz Challenge.

IRFU Mentoring Programme and IRUPA

The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ programme has paired a number of our Alumni with current and former players of the Irish international rugby team. The aim of this initiative is to challenge our Alumni to use their skills, knowledge and experience to help players maximise their potential now and prepare for life after professional rugby.

EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ also works with the Leinster branch of the Irish Rugby Union Players Association (IRUPA) to help promote player welfare and education.
