Ray Cole is the transport director of Virginia International Logistics (“VIL”) for the last 18 years and has worked with the company for 30 years. VIL is a family owned logistics company with locations in Ireland and the UK. VIL is owned and managed by Ray and his three brothers; Sean, James and Eamon. VIL directly employ over 150 people and have over 120 trucks and 350 trailers in their fleet. VIL currently have 2 warehouses and have started construction on their new 50,000sq.ft logistics centre, based in Kells, Co. Meath. VIL is a member of the IRHA, IEA and FTA. VIL have obtained and maintained the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard and GDP Passport.
In 2018, VIL won International Haulier of the year and Irish Haulier of the year at the Fleet Magazine Awards. In 2015 VIL also won Environmental Haulier of the year at the Fleet Awards. VIL is committed to its policy of “Green Logistics” and are involved in numerous projects in a bid to reduce their carbon footprint. VIL will be the first Irish Logistics company to have its own gas refuelling station and currently have 10 gas trucks on order to add to their fleet.
