Fergus McArdle joined Height for Hire in 2000 when he returned from Barcelona, where he worked with the award winning architect Enric Miralles. He moved to the UK in 2013 when he became Managing Director and has brought with him a disciplined, analytical mind committed to maintaining high standards of quality. He has project managed many large operational challenges within Height for Hire, guiding the strategic direction of the company in its transformation from Good to Great.
His sister, Frances McArdle, has over 25 years’ experience in the working at height industry. She is the Managing Director of Height for Hire Safety Training and started training machine operators in 1992 when she qualified as an instructor. While she has always played a pivotal role in Height for Hire, she recently took on the position of Operations Director as the company grew and the need for a lynchpin for operational systems evolved.
Fergus graduated from the UCD School of Architecture with a B Arch (Hons) and he currently lives between Dublin and Manchester with his partner Inga.
Frances graduated from UCD with an MA in English and lives in Co Louth with her husband Peter and three children.
